在诸多人物类话题中，有一道话题卡看起来有些“不伦不类”。它让烤鸭们描述一个在比赛中表现出色的运动员：
Describe a sportsperson who played well in the match.
You should say：
Who the person was
What the match was
When and where the person played
And explain why you think the person played well in the match.
这道话题卡介乎于人物类与事件类话题卡之间，比较扑朔迷离，容易让众烤鸭们摸不着头脑。本文将会对该话题进行分析，希望在你们阅读之后，能够很容易的描述好一名出色的运动员。
首先我们需要做的是要让考官在第一时间了解所作答的主题，来回答Who the person was这个问题。注意，本题的时态均为一般过去时，说的都是当时发生的一些事儿，因为一个队员有可能在赛场上所打的位置，效力的球队以及球风都是会发生一些变化的。我们这里拿个比较俗的篮球明星勒布朗·詹姆斯举例，看看是如何作答这一小问的。The athlete I'd like to describe is a basketball player named Lebron James，A.K.A.“King James”. He was classified as a point forward in Miami Heat and had set numerous youngest player records since joining the league.在表明主题后，我要适当的对该主题进行一些介绍，因为有可能你所描述的对象考官并不熟悉，我们要使考官对他／她有一个整体的概念。
接下来我们要把描述的侧重点挪到这位运动员所发挥出色的一场比赛上。我们不妨打乱一下问题2与问题3的顺序，先介绍出比赛的时间与地点再说明比赛中所面对的对手以及对手的描述。I remember that game was played in American Airlines Arena in 2013. That is the home court of Miami. 最后我们要回答why you think the person played well in the match这个问题。对于篮球这种体育运动，我们不妨可以从个人与团队两方面的发挥出色进行描述，从成功的表现出played well。Lebron took over the game from the second quarter. He got 36 points that night， which amazed me. He had such a will to accomplish a mission and he never hesitated when his team's fate was in his hand. Besides， he understood the fact that everybody had to share in the game and he was willing to be part of this to sacrifice some of his own game for the victory.
