First, as the saying goes, familiarity breeds boredom. People always prefer things that they have never seen before or that belong to others. Such is human nature that people do not have curiosity about what they are familiar with. As most local people are familiar with the history and culture of their own city, they prefer to pay a visit to the museums and historical sites in other cities, so that they can experience different customs and cultures.
